Bath fitting

I have just purchased a new acrylic bath and it does not have the tap holes drilled in it !!!

Whats the best drill bit to use and are there any tips that I could do with knowing before turning on the drill....

use a hole cutter not a drill.
put masking tape over the area first then mark the holes then drill.
