Bath mixer taps

I have just fitted some wickes bath mixer taps,when i fill the bath i can mix the water to the temperature i want ok,but when i turn the lever to use the shower head only the hot water comes out.Then when i put my hand on the cold tap copper tubing i can feel the heat going back up the pipe,weather its is the hot water travelling up the pipe i do not know.i have a combination boiler suppling the hot water and the loft tank the cold water.

You need to supply the bath/shower mixer with cold water directly from the mains, not from a feed tank.
