bath sealant removal

My bath has been leaking since I moved in.

I have refitted the bath so it does not move or flex but I cannot get the least traces of sealant off the bath.

would something like white sprit shift it without damaging the baths finish.

you can getr a tube of silicone remover at your local hardware shop. squirt it on leave for a couple of hours and hey presto it comes of no probs
