Looking for inspiration for bathroom design. Anyone have any good links to bathroom finishes, other than catalogues? I am not good at 'visualising' finished rooms, but know what I like when I see it!
My other half planned the layout, pointing out simple things like not having the loo as the first thing you see through the door... I thought as the most used bit it was a good idea to be able to get to it as easily as possible (mans view), but who wants to see a loo everytime they look in that direction?
We wandered around loads of tile places, bathroom shops, but did most of the research online to agree on what we both liked - google is your friend !
I suggest finding somewhere you can physically see and touch the stuff, sometimes things look a lot different 'in the porcelain'.
Pfft, I've only ever done 1 bathroom! (took long enough to agree on it though).
Use them as a guide then go out and trawl round the local merchants to find better deals/have a touchy-feely. Also gives you a fair idea of what tiles/flooring/paints look good together.
Did my bathroom about a year ago. Didn't really plan the decor - having seen other schemes, i'm now considering a re-vamp already!
you may find online tips about bathroom modeling and make it by your own. I have done like this and I really like my bathroom.
you may use google, nouveaubathrooms etc
I'm crap at visualising too - even tho' I'm female. I've just sent in a picture of my bathroom to this site which claims they'll do a free 3D graphic of the finished room so you can see how it'll look. Great idea - wonder what software they use? Think I'll ask them so I can use it muself. Not sure if you're allowed to put up URL's here but here goes.....http://www.informedwomen.co.uk/home-property/interior-design/interior-design-competition-winner. Sorry Pete if they take it off!
