No, I got 2 10mm into the spurbox, from the spurbox to the pull switch I used 1.5 T/E and from the switch to the fan. So the power supply to the fan had a 5 amp fuse to cover it. If some thing went wrong with the fan it would blow the 5 amp fuse and trip the main rcb. I'm not that stupid as to put a ceiling fan on a 40amp fuse.
