Bathroom help

I am going to box in a bath and was wondering if i could use a kitchen breakfast bar laminate. I want to cut a hole out of the breakfast bar and place the bath tub in to it. Does anybody think this is possible with the laminate being chipboard. Obviously i will seal all cut ends!!! Any tips would be appreciated.

I wouldnt recommend it at all......
as it is chip board an it will get moisture to it from condensation an you will have a nightmare then as it rots , use Wbp or marine plywood
