hi there, i would like a bit of help/advice please. i have just finished plastering my bathroom ready for tiling, but have noticed a stain that has come through the plaster where the copper pipe for the shower is chased in.

I covered the pipe in duct tape and insulation tape before bonding out the chasing, and finally skimming. i am aware of the reaction/corrosion of copper and lime in the bonding, but i didn't expect it to happen at all, yet alone happen this quick! The stain is about the size of a ten pence piece, and i plastered the wall a week ago

What is the best course of action to take, or is there any chance of it being something else?

I would like the best advice as once my bathroom has been redecorated, the intention is to never have to touch it again.

many thanks

Chop out the area and take a look. Should be easy with such a small stain.
