Hi all,
I'm currently refiiting my bathroom at home and have 2 questions.
1) I'm installing a spa bath and as such need to provide electricity for this. Ive taken out the old electric shower to replace with a thermostatic mixer shower, as such I have the supply for this in place in the bathroom with the necessary pull switch etc. Is it advisable to use this to power the bath or should i take a spur of the sockets? The pump etc for the bath is located under the bath behind a bath panel (tools needed to gain access). Also would you suggest fitiing an RCD to this? I'm ok with electrics but would like to know what is considered 'best practive' in this case.
2) The old copper pipework is earth bonded, however any new plumbing will be plastic (i.e. from old copper to new bathroom suite). The taps on the basin and bath are metal, do they need earth bonding if connected to plastic pipe which is connected to copper under floor?
Thanks,
Lee
