Hello all , i am looking to get up quite a few slats of decking that have been down a few years so the screws are going to be a nightmare.
i am toying with buying an impact driver to assist in this , would there be any benefit in getting a corded one as they seem to be more powerful and cheaper ( not fussed about a lead ) if so whats a good brand .
cheers Howy

I would personally chose a cordless one, if you intend using it for other jobs!

Chose a top brand like makita or dewalt!

as far as i know corded are for very heavy automotive type nuts and bolts
only cordless are 1/4 hex drive

They are impact wrenches are they not? With 1/2" square drives?

as far as i know the only ones suitable for woodscrews are the 1/4" hex drive female chucks rather than the square male drive 1/4 or 1/2" impacts

Thanks for your inputs, looks like battery, hadnt looked at the drive details but as said the corded look more for nuts etc.
Cheers howy
