Hi, ive read through all the threads but not found a similar problem, hope someone can advise....

The DHW runs extremely hot for a minute or two, then runs cold for a while then runs hot again and keeps cycling as such... Ive replaced the DHW Temperature Sensor and problem still there .

Also if i force the Central Heating to fire up the DHW works fine..
Has anyone any ideas...

Thanks

Diverter valve problem. When hw only is on demand , feel the ch flow and return pipes to see if they get hot, this will confirm if it is the dv. The diaphragm for the hot water side of it can be replaced but it is not a diyer type of job

from what i can see on the manuals available there are two diaphragms one called DHW Pressure Differential Valve on the front of the DVA and the other on the top of it, am i right guessing its the front DHW Pressure one.

Thanks for the replies by the way :)

Right guess. You,ll see a small tear or stretched rubber/perished if its a faulty diaphram. According to esex man, enjoy the challenge

go to plumbcentre and get a diaphagm repair kit (dhw) about £10
item no 5111137.
