shower gets up to temp thermostat within it cuts down hot flow , due to ventuuri in boiler being in bits the pressure behind diaphragm is not correct and pin comes back off micro switch shower goes cold stat within opens up increasing hot flow pin moves back out onto microswitch
Mmmm..not convinced,,sounds a load of bull to me.

Very logical and could happen with a boiler that was free of any faults. If the hot flow to the shower falls below the minimum required to keep the boiler firing then the boiler will shut down.
 
not could it does and its a very common fault on 105`s and clones of that boiler
 
I'd rule out a faulty non return valve on the shower first before pulling the boiler apart.
 
pulling boiler apart ? it take less than 2 minutes to take out and check the venturi bet you wont get into majority of non return valve in that time if they are even fitted
