Just thought I would let y'all know I had one fitted today, an additional 12 litres of expansion space so to celebrate I put the heating on full and with the rads steaming, watched in awe as the pressure gauge rose from 1.0 bar to 1.3 bar.

Also had this problem with the instants (as we all have).
Pott/Baxi tech told me an external vessell was fine as : "You'd have to take the boiler off the wall, the vessel has a flow and return. Just fit the external one as close as poss to boiler"
