I intend calling in an engineer but would appreciate a little advice about what to expect the problem to be. I have a baxi bermuda 401 boiler powering hot water and central heating. Pump is a Cp53 model. Also have separate gas fire. Yesterday heating & water heater clicked on with timer and fused some lights in the house - replaced fuse in circuit breaker next to heating control unit - red light came back on - turned heating & water back on - only water heater working. I have turned off everything including pilot light and started system back up, but only water heater operating. Can anyone advise what i can expect the engineer to tell me the problem may be? The wires going into the pump unit do look a bit shabby to me. Any help greatly appreciated.

If this is a gravity HW system then go for the pump.

If fully pumped then as suggested check the CH zone valve or the 3 port valve.
