bAXI BERMUDA BACK BOILER NO HEATING

Could also be the anti gravity valve blocked which is more common and likely than the spreader tee blocking. But then again even if one of those is blocked why is boiler only firing for 15 secs it should still stay on longer than that and circulate around the gravity circuit.

It does circulate around th primaries, if cyllinder stat is satisfied the boiler will go to heating mode only, therefore it will cut out if no circulation.

Pipe should get hot to the pump at least.

cut them out all the time here kev nothing but probs[mainly bad workmanship/poor practice]a lot of installers here do not add inhibitor/flush correcttly let alone fill in the benchmark as all appliances here on ng are only 6/7 year old most are conversions 15 vent15 cold feed no drainoffs dont start me off !!!!!

Doitall. suluki says no cylinder stat fitted and no sign of motorised valve, system is gravity hot water so unless there is a really old wax capsule stat on the H W there is no way of isolating just the heating. Suluki take pump out and check its actually spinning and its not just the spindle turning. Pump will probably be fitted on the return pipe to boiler so when you have the pump out open the pump valve attached to pipe that goes to boiler and if you get a good flow of water out of it this would more or less guarentee the spreader tee is clear. Then its a case of draining system and checking the anti-gravity valve fitted on 22mm CH flow pipe usually within a couple of feet of boiler . Its brass and about 3 inches long.
