 Hello. My inlaws boiler has developed a fault.'On central heating only' hot water is being sent at a steady constant flow up into the attic via a normally empty copper pipe.Hot water is then being dropped into her cold water central heating tank. This started yesterday as she was trying to bleed her Radiators. The boiler is only 2 years old.Any help appreciated.

You have used some rather unusual terminology but what I think you are trying to say is that its "pumping over".

That means a blockage in the system is causing a differential pressure to exist between the vent pipe and the feed pipe.

This can be tricky to resolve without considerable plumbing experience.

Baxi central heating drained , flushed ( water very murky ), refilled with clean water / inhibitor and radiators bled. Fault now cured ! Thanx for your advice
