I have an old Baxi boiler. It is old because it has been so reliable.
It now makes a popping noise when it shuts down, I have been told that the reason for this is that the gas valve is not shutting off cleanly, it is dirty. My question:
Can a gas engineer clean the gas valve, is it worth doing, or should I get the engineer to fit a new gas valve?
