I have been using the Worcester 24i combi boiler for 14 years since the house was built which keeps breaking down the past few months so I had an engineer out which he recommended me the Baxi Duo-tech 28kW combi boiler, is it a good boiler, well know and better than my current one or should I go for something else?

Why does he recommend that boiler?

Ask him what advantages it has over the Intergas!

He,s probably familiar with fitting that brand of boiler and another brand would not be so easy for the fitter.
Wouldn,t say their the best but not that bad, and easy to repair.

But as said Intergas over most brands.

Intergas is king. the Duotech is liked by many professionals on here I respect, but would never buy a Baxi/Potterton product on general principle.

That being said, I have an Ideal going in this week.

Duotech been out for approx 11 years now and is probably the most reliable boiler out there and if it does breakdown its a simple fix but it comes with a 7 year warranty so you have no worries there .
