Our baxi is 14 yrs old. Recently when we switch it on, the central heating works but the hot water doesn`t. We did try turning it off and on and that worked for a bit but now no hot water at all. Any ideas what may be causing this? Thanks.

Sounds to me like the 3 way valve! Probably sticking!

I find its more likely to be the DHW demand switch.

With CH off, does the boiler make any noise if DHW is taken?

There is no particular noise when central heating is off and DHW running.

 

[Agile]

If no DHW demand light and no noise then the DHW demand switch is the first suspect.
