had a problem with pressure fluctuation, with advice found to be exp vessel failure, got one on order with a new prv also.
My q is what may have caused said failure, also i noticed the filling loop is on the flow side of circuit not the return. Will this affect performance.boiler is baxi 133he approx 8yrs old. Also other rads have been added over time, could this be a source of problems also, thanks in advance.

Expansion vessel failures include: leaks, split diaphagms, blockages, and stuck diaphragms (these are the most common).
Most so called failures are just a question of repressurising.

Taken advice?

One wonders if anyone has actually tried to repressurise his.

I find that 98% can be successfully repressurised!

So did you try pressurising the air in the old one when removed?

Who did the change?
