Baxi Solo 2 RS50 "Clicking on CH Demand"

I have a Baxi Solo 2 boiler which has suddenly started making a loud, rapid "clicking" noise when there is a central heating demand. Sounds like a microswitch coming in and out (?). Clicking lasts anything from a few seconds to a minute or so... seems to be getting worse. As soon as I switch off the demand for CH the clicking stops immediately...
