Can anyone help! We are having huge problems with our 9 year old baxi boiler. The bolier runs like it should for approx 45mins then develops a very loud whirring noise which can last between 10-45 mins before igniting with a loud whoosh. Four inspections by insurance company have failed to find a fault! Any ideas?????

why could they not find a fault? keep calling em back until they do?

Whenever they visit the boiler is either off or they tell us to turn it off! On the last visit they tinkered with valves in the airing cupboard and said the valves had closed up - funny as the problem still remains! Is it worth contacting Baxi or whatever they call themselves these days to do a full examination?

or call the insurance and ignore their "safety" advice and dont turn it off

well arent u using it whilst we speak??? or is it turned off, do the insurances engineers when they come out ask you to make sure you dont use it after they find no fault????

if so why have they made numerous visits, one should have sufficed to cut you off

engineer came out today - thankfully the bolier made the noise whilst he was here (hurray!) the pcb may be on its way out so we have to give the boiler a helping hand when it won't ignite (the front cover has been removed and we have to push the main control buttons!!!) Hopefully the bl**dy thing will stop working and they can trace what the fault is and replace the part concerned  !!
