After much deliberation I've decided to go down the Bedec route for my woodwork. But I'm not sure which to choose.

At the moment all the woodwork is oil based gloss which although I'm told is highly unfashionable although we like the "wrapped in cling film" look. As such should I be going for the gloss (I understand Bedec Aqus gloss is not as glossy as an oil based gloss)?

Or should I bit the bullet and go satin? My reason for not going satin in the past was because I thought it looked a bit undercoaty.

But another thought I did have was would the inevitable brush marks I will get be less obvious with satin.

Thanks.

I use Bedec satin here at home - it's good stuff. the brush marks show less in satin

I've just today used Bedec MSP in satin - I'm amazed at how nice it is to work with and from what I can see, no brush marks. Not sure how shiny it is yet cos lamp light isn't showing it up very well.

Yes it's the nearest "working" to oil based paints that I've found - I don't do a lot of decorating but was taught by my Dad and we used lead based Magnet paint on outsides ;) I am therefore a bit heavy handed. A light touch and a Purdy synthetic brush does well with Bedec.

The best hybrid paints IMO are Dulux gloss and undercoat and the sikkens satura (satin).
