Hi does anyone know what a double beep repeated three times in quick succession, on a BMW E34 520i means?

This is after switching off and removing the ignition key, any sensible answers will be appreciated.

Seems like an oil change or the light/service counter was not reset after the oil change.

Thanks for the suggestions, I don't think it's anything to do with service intervals.
I may have tracked it down, central locking...the drivers door is the only one that will not operate, when key fob is activated, this could well be the warning.
