I have a BEKO dishwasher. Its about 6 years old. as soon as i press the power button to start a cycle it trips my sockets and i have to reset at fuse board. we live in a hard water area!

I've cleaned off the standard filter, removed and washed the two rinsing arms (which were slightly blocked) but still tripping.

Any ideas?
Thank you

electrical fault in the machine.

there is a chance it caused by water leaking out of the bottom and making the motor wet (you can pull it out and tip it backwards to have a look for signs of a leak) if not it could be damaged wiring, possibly where the wires enter the bottom of the door as they are constantly being bent.

Start saving up for either a replacement, or a repair

I am assuming you have not recently replaced the plug and wired it wrong

thank you for your advice. I will pull machine out and check tonight, i hope its not the former... as usual at this time of year, i'm skint... time for rubber gloves!!
Any clues as to how much i should set aside if I call out someone to perform repair?

many thanks and kind regards
