Beko WMA 510 W Door will not open, handle maybe broken?

I set the machine to wash, which took about 4 hours so I canceled it on rinse, and tried to open the door. I didnt know about the child lock as this was the first time I used it.

The door handle came forward slightly, now I cant open the door, or force the handle back to the original position to open the door.

Is there a simple solution or is this a job for an engineer?
