Searched the forum to find the best way of extending a length of T&E then plastering over the join, which seems to be crimping.
OK, I’ll buy a good pair of ratchet crimps but what’s the best practice for using them? Do I cut the tails of the cable equally and crimp making a bulky joint. Do I stagger the cuts to get a streamline effect? Do I then bind the cable joint in insulation tape? Do I put the joint in a choc box?
Is the same advice relevant if the joint was hidden under say a floor board.
Regards,
Derek..
