bi fold doors fitting sequence

Hi

I have been told that the deflection on a lintel over a bifold door should be a max of 3mm. But is this the future deflection once the bi folds are fitted or the overall deflection on the beam?
I am guessing that to fit a bifold door the measurements are taken once the lintel is in and the lintel is deflecting already at that point.

Im not sure the deflection matters -if the lintel bows, when the bifolds go in the head needs to be packed accordingly.
