My Biasi 24s has stopped igniting.

When it attempts to fire up, you an see the spark but after several seconds of sparking it doesn't light up with the flame, following this the boiler shuts down and the red light comes on.

Now i've had the gas valve replaced but hasn't fixed the problem.

So what next?

ignition sequence?

I've had a guy out who replaced the valve and than left today saying he'll come back
im trying to figure it out for myself so i can get an idea of the cost.

at least i'll know whether he knew what he was talking about

Quote....Why are you not asking the engineer who changed the gas valve.
Because like before he wouldn't have a clue whats wrong.

Yes, but he has changed a part that has not fixed the problem, so the OP needs to ask the engineer, as I would assume the OP does not want to pay for the valve, or the labour for an incorrect diagnoses.

incredible - you guys are so useful the mind wonders what your doing on forums like this

I dont think that last posting was intended to be serious! We give good advice free of charge on forums!

You have engaged some nupty, perhaps a chancer you met in a pub who is not gas registered, and he has fitted an expensive part which has not solved the problem! Then you come on here to ask whats wrong with the boiler! But we dont give advice on gas work that should only be done by a professional.

What gas testing equipment does he have?

Obviously you should NOT pay for a part which has not fixed the problem.

Please would you confirm that you will not be paying him!
