Bleeding Ariston combi boiler A 30 MFFi

On top of the plastic casing of the heat exchanger there is a rubber pipe on the end of a nipple.

How far does this need to be undone to bleed air from the system? I have tried 180 degress but no air or water comes out. There is currently just over a bar showing on the pressure gauge if it makes any difference.

Does anybody know?

Does anybody know if this vent is for the radiator circuit or the cold feed to the boiler from the rising main.
Any help appreciated!
