Hi there. Our toilet was separated from the bathroom with a partition wall. This has been removed. However there are now 2 doorways alongside one another leading into the bathroom. Can someone tell me how to block one of the doorways. I am a novice so keep it simple lol :). Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated :)

Once again thank you

Factors that I recommend you consider:

1. How are the walls either side of the doorways constructed - brick or studwork?

2. Are you ever likely to want to reverse this work, i.e unblock the doorway again?

Generally I would use the same construction method for the blocking off, but studwork is probably easier. You can soundproof it by allowing for a double thickness of plasterboard on each side, and include Rockwool slabs on the inside, all subject to there being enough room.

If you decide to brick it up, then just use 4" aercrete blocks. You should tie it in to the existing wall, to make it more rigid; there are various ways of doing this.
