Blown fuse replacement

Hi,

My 12V ceiling spotlights are supplied via dimmable transformers (Model LDT65, see IMG_1.jpg). A fuse has blown in one of the transformers (see IMG_2.jpg and IMG_3.jpg shows an intact one for comparison). Anyone know how I could identify this fuse or its rating so that I can buy a replacement? I've Googled but I can't find a schematic for the LDT65 PCB anywhere.

Look on the end caps of the fuse. Should be some inscription there.

EDIT: now your pics have arrived.

Buy a new transformer, it may not be just the fuse. Fuses blow for a reason. And I'm not sure it is a fuse. Tx's are only a few quid now.

Its hard to tell from the pics but are you sure it is a fuse that has blown.

Most fuses have there breaking capacity written or engraved on them

Looking at the 3 rd pic there's a black component which is a diode is that what is burnt out i can't tell on the 2nd pic.

To be honest i would be reluctant to try and repair any think like that,Transformers usually have internal thermal fuses.
Is that just a transformer or does it have quite a few components because if it's a switched mode type then forget it things don't burn up for no reason.

Usjes, when using diynot picture hosting, do not type brfore or after the picture.
You should copy / paste what you see in the [net] brackets

but agree, throw it away and buy a new one
