The tripple-MCB'd red-sleeved-CPC mystery cable that we've been talking about, probably.

Each core of the T&E is connected to an MCB and each feeds a lighting circuit.

Ah I see. And the poblem with that is whilst the CPC is correctly sleeved red, the black core is missing its red sleeving. Other than that, no problems - nice work. Right?

I was accused of being a rubbish electrician for suggesting that the electrician who did this work left the installation dangerous....

charge for the work done, ask for the other sparks name and walk off site..
no point trying to talk to people like that..

if they don't take your word that what is dangerous is in fact dangerous then it's their ass that's going to be in that fire for them to pull it out themselves.. ( metaphorically speaking )

if you do get the other sparkies name, report him to whoever it is that deals with H&S issues as being dangerously incompetent..
