Boarding Out Loft & Insulation

I am thinking of boarding & re-insullting my loftspace.

was considering ...

with chipboard on top - for the flooring ... and rockwool in between the roofjoists with plasterboard over the top for the walls ...

could somebody please point out any potential problems you see with this.

whould i be better sticking with the rockwool type insulation in the floors ?

Ventilation is one problem.

I think you have to have a 50mm space between the insulation and the roof tiles/felt, to allow for ventilation and a vapour barrier before you plasterboard. As for type of insulation, i've only used Celotex in the past, and its not cheep.

What are you going to use the space for :?:
