Hi All,
I have an Alpha Intec LPG boiler and over the weekend, with the drop in temps, the pipework froze. Bloomin' frost mode obviously did not kick in, so the boiler didn't do much the following morning. Not much that I could have done at that point, and a bit later after bits of it started to thaw, I heard a rush of water.......woooooosh....
A few litres later, I managed to identify where the leak was. I just don't know what the item is or what it does. I'd like to order it in before plumber comes round. No point in getting him (or her!) round for a 4 day wait until the part arrives!
I realise there may be other parts that may need replacing...but hopefully not!
This is the boiler and approx location of leak
This is the component in question:
And this is the actual specific location where the water gushes out. I think this is next to the heat exchanger, but not part of it....
Any ideas?
TIA!
