On the underside of the boiler there is a small hole with a red switch inside it. Push this switch if it feels stiff,if it's floppy then the boiler has some other problem.

Ah thanks so much found switch and it fired up straight away, ur a diamond xx , mandy

Poss pump is knacked, or MV faulty or OHeat stat on boiler or no water in the system.

You need to have someone look at the system.

Cheers,

Tony.

PS, I'd take a bet on the pump being the culprit. Try to run the heating and the hot water at the same time (not just hot water) and then get back to and let us know what's happing.

I would hope we do as some of us repair boilers for our living!

First turn the boiler temperature knob down and see if it stays on then.

But it does sound as if your pump is failed.

See the FAQ on this site to test it.
