boiler lights with a bang

9 times out of 10, the boiler (Halstead Hero60) lights smoothly after a couple of seconds ticking. However, occasionally, it takes longer to ignite, and does so with a bit of a bang.


probably not correct!

Any ideas what the fault might be?

Have you had it serviced. The big bang is called explosive ignition and is caused by your boiler not lighting at the right time. (usually bad spark ignition )
