Hello,
Now before I start with the problem, an engineer will be looking at the problem next weekend but I'm also a very curious soul so am very intrigued to what could be causing the issue.
It all started yesterday; we returned from a day's shopping only to find the boiler dead. A constant whirring noise followed by a pause - approximately 1 second on, 1 second off. It almost sounds like it is 'trying' to fire up but just can't; if I set all the dials to 0 and then change the CH dial to 7. The boiler attempts to fire up and then clicks after approximate 1-2 seconds and then the on/off whirring noise begins - it could be releasing gas into the chamber but I'm only saying this to describe the noise as opposed to what is actually happening.
Any advice much appreciated!
Mark
