Boiler not firing

Now if I swap over the two solenoids and I have a perfectly working boiler then..

1) I am very happy and also very grateful for all your help.

2) Slightly confused as this was not what I was expecting but I'm not going to argue.

Then you haven't found the problem and it will in all likelyhood return at the most inoppertune moment

Probably just gave the solenoid a little knock when changing over, often enough to get a while longer out of them.
