In this type of situation,Who the f pays the first quoted price,who ever set the £480 is expecting to be asked to drop the price.
Im glad your insticnt was right and not the numerous engineers that told you it was not the pump,My instinct was right, i switched it on and the flume fan spins making a croaking creaking noise spins faster and faster and then stops dead like it gets stuck.
no I mean all of us on here that told younumerous engineers you mean the 2 that came here.
exactly i don't think it is the water pump, they never checked the flume fan and its rattling, creaking and getting stuck like hell, if they were that good at diagnosing why did they not tell me the flume fan also needs replacing ?
didn't even know how to reset the boiler, did not even attempt to relight it and just went straight to take the cover off and manually light it with a blow torch, did not check it with any instrument like measure the fans resistance etc or use any diagnostic equipment apart from a blow torch.
I would not expect to be charging anything like that.
