Boiler Power (KW) setting?

on a combi the pump setting has to be on max

I have been told repeatedly that the pump head setting should be as low as possible, providing the house is being heated effectively.

Hello, I have a Worcester Greenstar 25i, combi boiler. House is a detached bungalow with 9 radiators. These include a towel rail, a small ensuite radiator, a smallish kitche one, two vertical radiators for living areas, and then a mix of medium sized horizontal ones, all new. They all have TVRs...

So completely opposite advice is being given here. Why would there be 5 options for pump head setting on my combi boiler when it has to be on max?

Yes, I have the CH set at 10KW and HW at 25KW (max)
