I have a Vaillant Turbomax which is serviced annually.
My previous service engineer used to go outside and stick a probe into the flue, presumably to check exhaust gasses. However he has now retired and he recommended another engineer.
The new engineer doesn't go outside to check the flue, but I noticed that he seems to insert or attach a probe to the front of the gas chamber.
Are these different ways of doing the same thing?
