hi, I have a healstead boiler ( wickes 2000) and although I have a a spark on one of the two electrodes the boiler wont ignite . Is it possible that because the other electrode is not sparking this maybe the reason the gas will not come through to fire up the boiler. Everything else seems to be testing ok.....look forward to your advise

Its likely that the other electrode is a flame sensor. Gas only needs one spark in the right place and at the right time.

If its is sparking then the problem is lack of gas to ignite!

Its possible that theres no gas getting to, or through the gas valve.
Its also possible that theres no current getting to the gas valve or if there is; that the valve isn't opening
