I recently moved into a 2000 built 4 bed, 2 bathroom house with a boilermate 2000 and Glow-worm Micron 50FF 14.65 kw boiler.

Boiler is downstairs in kitchen. Boilermate on landing.

As they are now both over 20 years old I'm considering replacement (although I've not had any problems yet!).

I had pretty much decided on a combi, as we had one in our last (one bathroom) house and it seemed very efficient, and there was always hot water on tap. But after reading a few forum threads I'm reconsidering due to low water pressure, especially when both showers are being used.

I've measured the current flow rate of both showers

Main bathroom with 3 way diverter = 11 litres per minute
en-suite stand aloe shower = 18 litres per minute

Not sure whay there is such a difference (I'll maybe post about this separately)

I'm not sure what the mains flow rate is as all the taps seems to flow slower than the most powerful shower above.

Can I expect similar performance from one of the more powerful combi's? Or Am I better looking at an unvented cylinder?
