could anyone recommend a a decent combi boiler for a house with 10 radiators over ground and first floor. thanks.

You can't go wrong with any of the Vaillant ecotecplus or ecotec pro models, 831 for example or the glow worm ultracom or flexicom. Worcester Bosch are a quality brand also and for really cheap Heatline are the best of the budget range.
The main factor when specifing a combi is the hot water requirement.
