Any ideas whether there's anything within the settings of a Bosch washer-dryer that will automatically drain water from it? I can't actually get at the hose at it's stuck up right against the wall. It first started not working quite suddenly last week, and is probably about 10 years old - initially I thought it was the spin that wasn't happening, but given the amount of water that came out when I opened it, I suspect it was more the lack of drainage that prevented it from spinning.

Hi there is a drain cycle but I can't remember what it is. Pull out the powder drawer and on the right hand side there is a blue plastic tab - pull it out and there is a list of all the cycles. If the drain pump doesn't run on this cycle, it's either worn-out or jammed. If you use a coin on the two screws on the kick-panel at the bottom front of the machine and turn them 90 degrees, you can remove the panel. there is a tube running left to right now visible. pull it outwards and the right hand end should come free. You can pull out the bung and drain the machine - you might have to prod it in and out to clear any sludge. You can then undo the big plastic screw-cap on the left hand side which reveals the drain pump to see if there is anything jamming it. Good luck!
