Boundary’s

Hi need some help with boundary’s,
I live in a mid terraced house. The neighbours house protrudes out more than mine…..I have had a porch built on the front, the porch roof carries on for about 5m on a 8"-3" beam and rest on a joist hanger which is fastened to the neighboursing house.
The neighbour has kicked up a fuss about the hanger so I am now going to have a block column built.
Two questions_1-how to I stand about the hanger
_2-I also want to render the front of mine and the protruding wall of the neighbours

You can't fix nothing to his wall, nor render it without his permission

Your builder should have known this before he fixed anything to a neighbours wall anyway. Perhaps time to eat humble pie and call round the neighbours with a bottle of wine. (Drink the wine, before smashing the bottle over his head)
