I am due to start the front extension which basically removed a semi permanent porch and replaces it with a new front wall to the house making the porch now internal and extending the existing garage . I have attached plans, elevations and photo to better show this. With the lock down still in place i want to make good use of the time and get cracking with this element of the larger project. Is the correct the right way of going about it?

  1. Remove roof tiles from sloped section of roof above existing porch
  2. Remove blockwork above oak beam
  3. Remove UPVC windows and doors from oak structure (assume these have no structural value)
  4. Fix 4x2 timbers to each rafter down to the floor to support roof
  5. Remove oak columns and beams leaving the roof supported by the 4x2's
  6. Remove pebbledash
  7. Dig footings
  8. Pour footings
  9. Lay blocks
  10. Run joists from right hand of porch to new blockwork
  11. Set rafters into new joists
  12. Remove 4x2's
  13. Install roof to garage and tie into existing sloping roof
  14. Tile roof
  15. Install imitation beams and columns
  16. Render
