British man has passport revoked whilst on holiday, now he cant come home

Lots of people get their passport revoked, because it comes to light that the information in the application was wrong and perhaps fraudulent. That doesn't mean they become stateless, it just means they need to reapply with the correct information and perhaps face any charges if Fraud can be proved. I suspect this will happen to this chap

the issue is the toxic attitude of the the home office.
Which I hear deliberately revokes passports so they cant re enter the UK.

Is the other bit of your post speculation about him knowingly put incorrect info on passport? Or has the story moved on?

I'm being careful not to make allegations, without the facts, but the news article is suggesting he claimed to be from Serbia, when he was in fact Albanian. Obviously one would have the right to refugee status here, the other not so much.

You can't trust the press with the facts. He might even only be an Ethnic Albanian and the Fraudulent application may have been down to foster parents.

I really don't get how people think that criminals don't need to be deported. I feel sure if these criminals, did anything to you or property then you would want them away. I appreciate people are entitled to their views, but give your head a shake
