Will the building control inspector have a say on laying concrete in cold weather ?

Having a house extension built and looking at the forecast it does not look good (above 5c) for the next few weeks.

The builders are not going to want to be sat at home doing nothing for two weeks but obviously don't want it laying below 5c.

Building control have no say on when you should or should not do 'wet' work.

Below ground concrete does fare better than above ground stuff in cooler weather, so foundations etc should be ok.

5 degrees is practically balmy

There are parts of the world where it never gets that warm.

Where there's a will there's a way :D

You can even pour concrete under the sea if you know how...

Foundations go down 1.5 meters so be ok ?

Does the floor slab go in at the same time or later on as that will be prone to frost.

It is a very large front / back and side extension of over 50sq m
