burning off rads

Hi all,tried to burn a rad off today that was peeling badly with my heat gun,wasnt very good!! to add the gun works fine burnt a double garage door off recently no probs.Is the paint now baked on so i cannot shift it?Got all the loose bits but looks unsightly,even after a good sanding?

Did you remove and empty the rad? If not, the water inside won't let the surface get hot enough to burn off the paint.

No i didnt remove or empty it,that explains why i struggled,many thanks for that joe.

Take it off and get it dipped..cheaper, quicker and better result.
